What a Day!

I decided to take the kids on a mini road trip about 3 hours from my house. After our visit at Chuck E Cheese, I started looking around for a gas station. I decided to head up the freeway about 4 miles where I knew I would be shopping at a Target. I would surely find a gas station nearby. I took my exit and turned right into the shopping center. Just as I got off the service road, my Tahoe died. I coasted into a parking lot. Wow, God was really looking out for us because 2 seconds earlier and this would have happened on the freeway at lunch hour.

What was I to do now? I noticed a Christian bookstore and decided to go inside where my kids would be out of the 85 degree heat. The ladies there gave me a phone book and tried to help me located a towing service. After trying to deal with my roadside service and the phone book for about 40 minutes, this lady from the back of the store came to my rescue. She offered to take me to the nearest gas station which was across the freeway. There was no way I could get across the freeway with my pregnant self and 2 little ones.

I was able to buy a gas can, get a little gas, and get my truck started. Thank you, Regina! This all could have been really, really miserable! Praise to God for getting my Tahoe off the freeway and into the parking lot. Praise to God for there being a Christan Bookstore right there. Praise to God for Regina and her generosity. Praise to God for getting us back home safely. Thank you God for watching after my kids and myself.
