Go Hogs! The Razorbacks will have their first game this Saturday. Although we won't be there for the games this year (the guys might try to go to at least one), we will be cheering them on. Jayce still runs around the house in the helmet. All week, he has been counting down the days until the first highschool football game. Football is in the air!

1st day of Kindergarten
Jayce has been super excited about school. He has been counting down the days for weeks! He got up without a problem this morning even though he was quite surprised it was still dark outside! After we all got dressed, he kept asking us if it was time to go yet.
He walked into his classroom just as confidently as could be like it was something he has done forever. After putting his backpack away, he got to work coloring his Welcome to School page. His teacher seems very friendly, organized and excited.
As we left, Jayce was laughing, talking with the kids at his table and just a coloring away. It was sure hard to walk away! It is hard to believe my little boy has started "big" school!
Now, Lakyn and I will have the entire day to ourselves. Whatever will we do without our Jayce? I guess we will count down the minutes until he gets home. He will be home in 5 hours and 45 minutes! It will be a long day for us all! Oh, notice Lakyn had her little backpack on, too!

A Work in Progress....
I don't have any before pictures. However, the train table was unfinished, the walls where white and the comforter was a transportation theme quilt that I put on Jayce's bed for his frist birthday. So, I painted the train table red, painted the walls sweatshirt grey, added the mural, and added new NFL bedding and added the bright, red rug. The curtains are from the old house, so they are a little short. So, I still need to make curtains, paint the dressers and bookshelf, and I might paint the bed. It is a work in progress.

Yoga.....Try it!

Last night, I tried Yoga for the very first time. As I entered the classroom, I was quite intimidated by all the very fit, young ladies and men. I entered the room with my 2 belly rolls and had at least 10 years on everyone. Although I did stumble quite a few times and had to get out of position a few times, I kept up quite well. I was really impressed with how my muscles burned, how stretched out I felt, the moments of intensity vs the moments of relaxation, and how energized I was at the end of the class. If you haven't tried yoga, I highly recommend it because it is a good workout!

No, I'm Not Pregnant!
And the Olympic Gold Medal Goes To.....
LAKYN for her climbing skills! Last night when we were watching gymnastics, Lakyn was sitting on the couch lifting her legs and pointing her toes. She loves for us to help her do flips. So, gymnastics might be importnant to her. I loved the idea of gymnastics when I was a little girl. I remember when Mary Lou Retton was taking the world by storm. I wanted to be just like her! I got close a few times....a few flips on the trampoline and a bob hairdo.

Me: "She will probably speak a little of both".
Jayce: "Well, that's ok because I speak Spanish....Alla a agusto (or something like that)".
Lakyn: "slkj sljeoilc goo goo bubba" (or something like that).
Jayce: "Oh, Lakyn speaks Spanish ALL the time.

Happy Birthday!
My baby boy is 6 years old today! It is hard to believe I was in the hospital in Texas waiting for his arrival this day 6 years ago! I am enjoying Jayce so much! It has been neat watching him grow these past 6 years and 9 months. He is so much more than I ever could have imagined, and I love him more than I thought possible. He is a very good boy. He is very social, so he tries to make friends with everyone. I call him a ladies' man because he is always trying to make us girls feel special. He tells me I'm beautiful, notices when I do little things to the house and gives his sister lots of love. His Daddy thinks he is the best! They love boats, the lake, and football. Lakyn thinks Jayce has hung the moon, too. She follows him everywhere he goes, tries to do everything he does, and just lights up when he enters a room. We are all very crazy about you, Jayce! Thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives!!! Happy 6th Birthday!
