Jayce has been super excited about school. He has been counting down the days for weeks! He got up without a problem this morning even though he was quite surprised it was still dark outside! After we all got dressed, he kept asking us if it was time to go yet.
He walked into his classroom just as confidently as could be like it was something he has done forever. After putting his backpack away, he got to work coloring his Welcome to School page. His teacher seems very friendly, organized and excited.
As we left, Jayce was laughing, talking with the kids at his table and just a coloring away. It was sure hard to walk away! It is hard to believe my little boy has started "big" school!
Now, Lakyn and I will have the entire day to ourselves. Whatever will we do without our Jayce? I guess we will count down the minutes until he gets home. He will be home in 5 hours and 45 minutes! It will be a long day for us all! Oh, notice Lakyn had her little backpack on, too!

I hope Jayce had a good day. Doesn't seem like it's time for that though.
