Welcome June!

I know the chalkboard says May, but we put our chain up a few days ago. We have been waiting for June since December! Over the Memorial day weekend, we made this chain. The kids have been asking about Daddy's return since he left on Dec 16. Now, they have a better idea when they can expect him to be home. We tore off our first link last night. We will do that every night after dinner. The kids were so excited. They kept running to the map and showing me where Daddy is now and pretending to put him on an airplane. They would use their finger to fly him back to us! I talked to Brad last night which was his June 1st morning. He said he was so excited to see June he could hardly sleep! It has been a long time coming, and we are so excited. We are praying for Brad's safe return to us by the end of the month.

We have been trying to keep ourselves busy. We went on our first breakfast picnic. The kids loved it because it was something different. I loved it because they were so excited, it was nice and cool before the heat of the day, and no mess in the dining room! The pool opened up, and so far we have been once. We plan to go for a little bit tomorrow and then again Friday night to celebrate the end of the school year for Jayce. I'm just trying to have a fun summer until Daddy gets back. Then, it will be a super fun summer!
