Fishing Derby 2011

Jayce, Conley and I went fishing at the base pond for the Kids' Fishing Derby. For the first couple of hours, I chased Conley around while trying to help Jayce change lures and get fish off of hooks. I thought Jayce was doing well until I looked around and noticed the dads were helping fish and turning in their fish. Well, I tried to play catch up and fished as much as I could with Jayce. We came in 3rd. Not bad considering Jayce caught most of the fish himself, and HE carried all the fish up to the weigh station himself. It was a fun day. Jayce is a good little fisherman. He knows his stuff! We ended up going fishing again that day at the creek because Lakyn wanted to fish, too. We didn't catch anything there, but it was nice to enjoy a cold drink from Sonic and just fish.

We are preparing to see Brad in just 2 weeks! We are all very excited. Brad is in good spirits and cannot wait to leave and get on his way home!
