Lakyn and I both have undergone lots of testing in the past couple of days. Lakyn visited a doctor specializing the immune system. The doc took blood to see if she is developing antibodies to some other immunizations she had as a baby. So, in the meantime, we will be waiting on those results (about 2 weeks).
As for me, I went in for my 26 week appointment. I had the routine tests performed such as the glucose test. Those results will be in a few days. So, just tests, tests, tests! All seems to be going well. I will start going in for appointments every 2 weeks now.
Lakyn:
After giving blood yesterday (for the 4th time this month), she didn't want to take her bandage off. She kept telling me, "No, the doctor said no!" I did finally talk her into taking it off. I also tried to get her to wear a mask while we were in the doctor's office. She kept pulling it off and saying, "You be the doctor!"
She stole my antibacterial soap out of my purse. When I told her to give it back, she said, "I had it first!" That is what she always says when we tell her to give something back.
Her new phrase, "I just kidding!" She thinks she is so funny because most of the time she is funny! She cracks us up.
What I say to her most often (besides I Love You), "Get off my belly...it is not a trampoline!"
Jayce:
"Lakyn gets everything, the baby gets everything new, and I just get junk!"
"I'm not going to college because I'm going to be a fisherman."
"I was born first and then Lakyn. Boy, girl, boy....hey, that's a pattern. We can have a girl next!"
Jayce wants to name the baby. He has a new name each week. This week....Charlie.

What is going on with Lakyn? I hope everything turns out ok. Make sure you do lots of hand washing and avoid that scary Swine Flu.
