Last night, we hired a babysitter for the first time since we moved to TX. Brad and I were guests at the base commander's house. We are still learning about all the Air Force traditions. Apparently, right before a base commander leaves, he serves his staff. So, the law office staff was invited to his house to be served by himself and wife along with the other commanders. There ended up being about 9 of us and about 12 on wait staff. We were served the most beautiful and most delicious meal of steak, shrimp, squash boats, green beans, baked potatoes stuffed with crab, raspberry torte, and chocolate cake. Yummy! It was a nice atmosphere, nice folks, and good conversation. Brad really does work with a wonderful group. We wish the base commander and family the best of luck at their new base.
