We just got home from camping in Arkansas. We spent a week at Alpine Ridge on Lake DeGray. It was Conley's first trip to Arkansas, and his first trip camping in the camper. It was all fairly new to Lakyn since she doesn't remember going last year. Of course, Jayce felt right at home.
The kids enjoyed all their grandparents, Aunts, cousins and friends. Jayce fished several times but didn't catch a thing. Well, the water was only 90 degrees!! Jayce did get to fish out of Pop's new Ranger boat! Lakyn actually swam this time. She loved the beach! Conley liked the camper. I think all little kids like the "little house." Brad and I stayed super busy but really enjoyed swimming with the kids, skiing, helping the kids with smores and just hanging out.
We met Remington, Levi and Brayden for the first time. The kids love their new little cousins. They also really enjoyed playing with the cousins River, Reyd and Landen. River and Jayce like to pal up. Lakyn and Landen like to pal up. Reyd is sweet and plays with everyone.
We ended our trip in Arkansas with a stop by Nana's. We enjoyed good food and good company. We dropped off our little camper which has been sold to a friend in Benton. I will miss the little camper. We stopped over at Mimi and Papaw's before heading back to Texas.
We came home, threw all our stuff in the house, and headed to San Antonio. We had a good time looking at campers we can't afford, eating good food, and watching the kids play at Chuck E Cheese's.
We had a very nice vacation. We will head back to Arkansas in a couple of weeks to hang out some more.
