Tidbits Thursday

My kiddos are just growing up super fast! Jayce is now making his own lunch! What a big helper! I remember when we bought the little basketball goal for his second Christmas. We had to lift him up so he could put the ball in the basket. Now, he is showing Lakyn how to slam dunk!

This was a conversation Jayce had with us a few nights ago while eating dinner.
Jayce: When I grow up, I'm going to drink some Evan Williams Bourbon.
Me: Huh?
Brad: Evan Williams Bourbon?
Jayce: Yeah, it makes you a better bass fisherman.
Brad: No, if you drink some, you will just fall out of the boat.
Jayce: The commercial says you will be a better fisherman.
Me: Not all commercials are right. That stuff is not good for you and should never be on the boat.

The next day:
Jayce: I'm not going to drink Evan Williams Bourbon because that commercial isn't right.

I absolutely LOVE the way Lakyn talks to me. Most of the time I can understand her. However, there are times when she just looks me in eye, goes on and on about something, and is so serious about it. Every time we eat lunch, she says, "Jayce is hungry." She also kisses his picture when he is not here. Right now, she has her backpack and telling me, "I'm going to school, bye!" Oh, I'm surely not ready for that!
