Moma, 36 years old

Dear Kids,

Moma turned 36 years old on March 1. It is hard for me to even believe because I don't feel like I thought I would at 36. I'm starting to see myself age with a few gray hairs here and there, more laugh lines, and slower metabolism. However, I still have enough energy to run after you all day. I might move a little slower by the end of the day without Daddy here to give me a break. Sometimes I might wonder if your Daddy and I started our family a little late. Your friends' mothers and fathers seem to be much younger. I then stop and remember how the Lord has blessed us with his perfect timing. Moma LOVES the Lord and prays all you kids will love him, too. I can tell you HE loves you so much! I'm so glad HE picked me to be your Moma. I'm so very blessed to have 3 wonderful children and a loving husband. I'm a lucky Moma!

I'm staying home with y'all, and hope to until Conley goes to school. Even then, I might stay home if I'm able. I love to be at home and take a lot of pride in providing a safe, clean, and family fun home.


I'm trying to create a healthy home. I'm trying to feed us healthy foods. I hope you grow up loving foods that come from the earth. A little treat now and then isn't bad, but I don't want you to love food that isn't good for your body. Most of the cleaners have been eliminated from our household. I'm trying to keep as much junk out of our lungs as possible.

I love to walk! I have been walking miles and miles for years. Just tonight, I walked/jogged 3 miles with Conley in the stroller and Jayce and Lakyn on their bikes. It makes me feel good to see you exercising and taking care of your body.

I really like to take pictures. Jayce, you took this picture just before church. I like to work on this blog for us. I like to sew even though I'm still learning. I like to take long showers and baths. I like to get pedicures. I love the lake. I like to be outside. I like to look at animals and play with them, but I don't have to own a pet. Every once in awhile, an animal will really pull at my heart strings. I like to shop. I mostly like to shop at antique places, flea markets or festivals. I love vintage kitchen items. I'm also more of a girly girl than when I was a kid. I like to shop for jewlery and clothes. I like to read books and magazines. I'm currently reading the Bible and looking at Health magazine. I'm participating in a Bible study on Daniel. I like to read blogs about other Moms like me, crafting blogs, and cooking blogs. I like to watch movies although I don't watch many. I now like Country music which I really didn't even like last year. I LOVE to play at the park and go on picnics with my kids. My most favorite thing to do in the whole world is go camping with my family. I love being close to my family and waking up in nature.

I'm pretty social, but I do cherish time with my family and time alone. I tend to know lots of people, but hold a few very close. I have a really good relationship with my Mom and sisters. I go through times when I'm very outgoing and outspoken and other times I'm quite shy. I think most people would describe me as pretty quiet but funny. If I'm passionate about something, I will get on a soapbox. Your Daddy and I can really "lay down the law" about some issues. Ha!

Each day I hope to see you smile. Each day I hope to hear I love you. Each day I want to hug you. Each day I want to tell you I love you. I strive to be a good mother, a good wife, and a good person. I do the best I can and then try to do better! I love you, kids!
