My Cup Runneth Over!

I caught Jayce and Lakyn talking to their baby brother. Here is a summary of what Jayce had to say:

"Hi baby brother, I'm your big brother Jayce! You sure are cute. When I grow up, I'm going to be a fisherman. See, here is my Jr Ranger badge. When you get bigger, you can wear it. I'm going to teach you how to fish, ok baby? I don't know what Lakyn wants to be when she grows up, but I'm going to be a fisherman.

Later that day: "Bye brother, I'm going to the pool (kisses his hand and then puts his hand on Conley's head). I'll be back. I'm going to miss you!"

Jayce has just glowed around his new brother. He is so proud! Just look at his face in the pictures. I'm enjoying watching their relationship develop.

Lakyn has just been giddy over Conley. She is so excited about having a real live baby doll. Here is a conversation between Lakyn and myself that we've had several times since bringing Conley home:

Me: What is the baby's name?
Lakyn: Arthur (She loves the Arthur books, especially Arthur and His Baby)
Me: No, his name is Conley.
Lakyn: Yeah, Connie!

I've also caught her talking to the baby. Here are some things I've heard Lakyn say: "You're tute (cute)!" "My sister (I keep telling Lakyn she is the sister and Conley is the brother, but she gets it mixed up sometimes)." "Mommy, he likes you!"

Brad keeps saying to me, "Don't you just love it!" Yes, I just love it! I have an awesome family. I love them beyond words.
