Fishing Trip

Brad and I took the kids on a fishing trip yesterday. It was one of the cooler mornings we've had in quite awhile. We decided to bundle up and go anyway. The kids were so excited about going fishing. Lakyn had her Barbie fishing pole ready to go!! I helped her cast it out about three times before she decided she would rather mess with all the gadgets in the boat. Jayce fished for quite awhile but not without almost hooking me about three times. Jayce and Lakyn were really more excited about the snacks I brought along than the fishing. They sat in the boat and munched while Brad and I fished.

After we were out fishing for about an hour, the wind picked up like it is known to do here from time to time. Luckily, we weren't far from shore! The wind was whipping so much that water was splashing into the boat as we were on our way back to the dock. Lakyn kept saying "HOME!" over and over while Jayce just complained of getting wet. After we put the boat back in storage, we headed to a little joint there by the lake hoping for some good old fashioned fried catfish. Oh, the food just wasn't that good. Sorry, but the food here just isn't good period. Anyway, we still had a nice time getting out. After all, we did make memories!
